Painting of Aberdaron with Post Office in background
This is a "straight" painting about the popular Welsh holiday destination with the Post Office in the background. There are no odd perspectives or "time-shift" of buildings. I have used gouache and crayon and the "scribbled" sky is a nod to the way children paint.
We didn’t have too many holidays when I was a child as Dad was often away. The number one holiday destination was though, always Wales: the Welsh coast. Newquay, Tenby, Saundersfoot and Broad Haven were also favourites.
